QA Professional/Specialist

This role will be based in Mississauga, ON.

Your role within the team:

The Quality Assurance Professional/Specialist reports to the project Quality Assurance Manager. Working in a team environment, she/he participates in:

  • Preparing project specific QA Plan which meets the requirements of governing QA program, contract, and applicable standards.
  • Reviewing project management/engineering documents to ensure QA requirements are adequately identified and applicable procedures are followed.
  • Maintaining regular reporting on quality performance; trending issues.
  • Assisting project staff with their QA inquiries.
  • Providing support to the Non-Conformance and Corrective Action processes.
  • Conducting audits and self-assessments and identifying conditions adverse to quality and opportunities for improvement. Participating in cause analysis when assigned.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the project QA Manager.

The ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Engineering or Science.
  • 2 years of experience in nuclear field. Knowledge of CSA N285.0-23, CSA N299-16 series, CSA N286-12, CSA N286.7-16, ISO 9001:2015 and ASME code.
  • Advanced computing skills and functionality with standard Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to create macros in Excel is an asset.
  • Strong oral and written skills to interact with internal staff and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize and execute the assigned tasks.
