We are currently seeking a Project Technical Support & Quality Engineering Representative who specializes in Rolling Stock Vehicle Design, Modification, Manufacturing and Refurbishment to join the Rail and Transit TPO in Thunder Bay, ON and/or North Bay, ON providing Onsite Technical Support and Quality Engineering Representation at the Project Level, for AtkinsRéalis clients.

Your role within the team:

  • Provide technical support on Rolling Stock Vehicle refurbishment, on behalf of the Client at a project level.

  • Represent the Client by, participating in engineering design package review, production progress and planning and quality control meetings.

  • Review and approve the production plans, quality inspection plans,  and the testing plans prepared by the supplier.

  • Oversee and report the project progress by developing project related presentations, KPIs and progress report.

  • Assure contract compliance on behalf of the Client.

  • Support Quality Assurance efforts and initiatives by providing quality engineering insight.

  • Monitor and audit the supplier’s Quality Assurance Processes.

  • Provide Quality Inspections at different phases of the production and sign off the plant acceptance on behalf of the client.

  • Record and communicate a periodic review of the work performed by the supplier, which includes completed work, work in progress, upcoming work, quality of completed work, additional work, inspections and/or tests, budget, issues and problems as well as any critical comments on the work and changes made to the cars.

The ideal candidate:

  • 7+ years’ experiences in Rail and Transit industry.

  • 5 years’ experiences in Rolling Stock Vehicle Manufacturing and Refurbishment.

  • 3+ years experiences in Quality Control/Assurance.

  • Have thorough understanding of Rolling Stock Vehicles electrically and mechanically.

  • Have electrical/mechanical engineering background.

  • With strong Quality mindset and be able to communicate effectively; seeks to understand and delivers key messages to stakeholders.
