Your role

Strategic work winning and capture planning

• Collaborate with the Head of Win Work Services, Market Directors and Bid/Client Directors to identify priority opportunities over the medium term.
• Lead a structured capture planning process to deepen and consolidate understanding of the client and opportunity.
• Organise and facilitate opportunity reviews, SWOT and competitor analyses, and value proposition workshops, consolidating the outputs into the capture plan to guide sales activity.

End-to-end proposal management

• Ensure the use of AtkinsRéalis win work tools and processes to enable delivery of a successful bid submission.
• Review all bid documentation so that all requirements are captured and understood.
• Produce a clear and comprehensive bid programme so that all bid activities are appropriately managed to internal and client deadlines and that all actions are assigned owners with clear deadlines for completion.
• Provide regular updates on progress to the Bid Director, Bid Manager and relevant bid team members, including escalation of issues and risks to the programme.
• Arrange the Kick-off and other key bid meetings, ensuring the inclusion of all necessary attendees and working with the Bid Director and Bid Manager to develop the agenda and any meeting materials in advance.
• Manage the production of bid templates relevant to each bid's requirements, including CV and pen portrait templates, bid response / writing templates, answer plan templates, etc.
• Manage the compilation of corporate information, CVs, case studies, etc., working with Proposal Coordinator resources where available.
• Drive the production of high-quality technical responses by facilitating answer planning sessions, providing template responses or making use of specialist Bid Writing resources.
• Use AtkinsRéalis' proprietary Knowledge Management tool (Proposal Information Hub), including Copilot agents, to identify relevant case studies and boilerplate content.
• Draft concise, compelling narrative for non-technical/corporate responses (for example, social value, health & safety, etc.).
• Oversee response formatting to ensure that bid submissions look professional and attractive, working with specialist in-house design resources where appropriate.
• Check all quality responses for readability, spelling and typographical errors and amend where applicable.
• Check that all bid submissions are compliant and complete and all information requested is provided before submission.
• Where required, upload bid submissions via the client's portal in a timely manner.
• Support any post-submission interviews through the development of high-quality presentation materials and arranging and participating in preparation and rehearsal exercises.

Knowledge management and continuous improvement

• Identify reusable content from each bid submission and ensure it is promptly uploaded to the Proposal Information Hub.
• Facilitate a structured lessons-learned review after each bid and share the outcomes with the Bid Team, S&G Team and wider Growth Markets business.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging AtkinsRéalis tools and processes.
• Keep abreast of proposal management and work-winning best practice, recommending improvements to bid quality, cost-effectiveness, process compliance and success rates.
