AtkinsRéalis is hiring a Sr. Project Engineer, Maintenance Storage Facility to support the Green Line Project! The Green Line LRT (light rail transit) Project is the largest infrastructure investment in Calgary’s history. At 10-kms, it comes with $6.2billion in commitments from the Government of Canada, Government of Alberta and The City of Calgary. The Green Line LRT is designed to be both a transit system and a platform for future city building opportunities.  It encourages redevelopment and investment in Calgary businesses and communities.

Your role within the team:

• Oversee design & construction project, including safety, cost estimation, change management, scheduling, and quality control. 
• Supporting the planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating construction of the MSF
• Managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and optimizing resource allocation.
• Identifying and mitigating risks related to construction and facility management.
• Effectively integrate MSF construction activities with adjacent projects and Green Line program priorities
• Lead key interest holder engagement with The Operator relating to testing, commissioning, occupancy, and operation of the facility.

The ideal candidate:

• Degree in Engineering, Civil or Structural
• 10-15 years previous experience in design and facility construction with institutional/industrial/commercial process-oriented facility experience, transportation/rail sector industry preferred
• Excellent communication, team coordination, and conflict resolution skills with an understanding  of facility maintenance, repair, and safety protocols.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards including municipal development approvals experience required
• Technical competency in one or more relevant building system (architecture, structure, electrical, mechanical, etc) and familiarity with construction materials, equipment, and systems.
• Generalist understanding of all relevant building systems
• Team leadership skills are an asset
