Location – Mississauga, ON

Your role within the team:

• Oversee the lifecycle cost control of the P&L program and be the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all cost control matters on the group of projects under the P&L
• Ensure setup of the projects is in conformance to Project Controls processes and procedures.
• Monitoring, controlling and reporting on project performance through the whole program life.
• Inform the Project controls Manager whether a proper Costing measurement is in place for all project activities through the whole project cycle
• Advise and propose solutions on matters that could prevent meeting the project objectives and provide recommendations to optimize the overall project cost
• Oversee timely and accurate cost report updates at the end of each reporting period for the project control accounts to warrant proper monthly cost report
• Trending of actuals data and analysis of forecast
• Provide regular reports on project cost status and cost deviations and recommend remedial actions.
• Ensure proper commitment tracking and reporting for PO’s.
• Provide regular reports on project time accumulation, analyze budget variances, recommend remedial actions
• Ensure PMET reporting is accurate, current and all variances are explained and supported
• Provide input to client reporting.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/yearly forecast
• Support & coordinate with stakeholder within and outside P&L
• Lead the implementation of ECOSYS on the project.
• Interface with other project controls staff including other Cost Controllers  and Planners to maintain an integrated cost-schedule project control system
• Interface with planners on the deliverables’ progress to update estimate-to-complete
• Interface with different stakeholders to establish sub-contractor progress
• Preparing Dashboards to provide KPI’s with graphical presentation
• Special assignments, ad hoc reports and other related duties as required

The ideal candidate:

• University degree (Bachelors)
• Minimum 15 years Cost Control experience – up to Lead level.
• Mandatory - Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Solid understanding of accruals (Client/Vendor)
