Reporting to the Vice President of the Division, the Portfolio Director is responsible for developing a strategic approach to markets, customers, and associated projects, leading to the best solutions to increase market share in a reliable and predictable manner.  In order to achieve the objectives, the Portfolio Director will work in concert with other groups in the organization on market development strategy, bid preparation and project performance monitoring.

Your role within the team:

Growth and Sales

• Maintains a highly visible presence with clients in the portfolio.
• Actively participates in the market development and execution strategy to ensure growth in volume and profitability.
• Oversees framework contracts and monitors project execution associated with his client portfolio.
• Conducts bid monitoring, orchestrates decisions regarding opportunities to be pursued, develops strategies, and leads the development of bid responses.

Project implementation and execution

• Monitors the performance of the project portfolio.
• Manages client relationships.
• Leads internal meetings (kick-off meeting, progress tracking, milestones).
• Validates change requests/contract modifications.
• Supports the management of claims files.
• Manage risks and unexpected expenses.

Operational Execution

• Manages the project portfolio to meet overall regional operational targets (monthly, quarterly, annual) and maintain reasonable risk levels.
• Facilitates the resolution of client complaints.
• Participates in monthly internal business unit meetings.
• Delivers maximum operational efficiency while achieving growth objectives.

• Must have completed and actively participated in large-scale infrastructure projects;
• Have participated in market development.
• Fluency in French and English (spoken and written);
• Strategic vision;
• Leadership, professionalism, integrity and excellent organizational skills;
• Excellent ability to communicate, respond and interact with clients;
• Political acumen and ability to work in a team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering a strong asset.
