Software Engineer - Fuel Channel Inspection Optimization in Digital Innovations team

Location – Mississauga, ON

Your role within the team:

Integration and Interoperability:

• Collaborate closely with the RPA Engineer to understand the existing RPA infrastructure.
• Develop APIs and connectors to integrate RPA bots with other systems (e.g., data storage, reporting tools).
• Ensure smooth data flow between RPA processes and custom software components.

Custom Data Processing Tools:

Design and implement software modules for advanced data processing:

• Real-time data streaming and aggregation.
• Statistical analysis and anomaly detection.
• Feature engineering for predictive models.
• Optimize data pipelines for speed and efficiency.

User-Friendly Interfaces:

Create intuitive user interfaces for inspection teams and maintenance personnel:

• Web-based dashboards for visualizing inspection results.
• Configuration panels for adjusting RPA parameters.
• Alerts and notifications for critical events.

Algorithm Development:

Collaborate with the RPA Engineer and domain experts to enhance predictive models:

• Implement machine learning algorithms for tube degradation prediction.
• Explore novel approaches for early defect detection.
• Fine-tune model hyperparameters based on feedback.

Testing and Validation:

Conduct rigorous testing of software components:

• Unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing.
• Validate data consistency across RPA and custom software.
• Ensure compliance with safety and security standards.

Continuous Improvement:

• Monitor system performance and identify bottlenecks.
• Propose enhancements to streamline the entire inspection process.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
