We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Aviation Team as a Sr Field Representative. Under general supervision, researches and interprets contract requirements to determine whether construction work is proceeding in substantial compliance with plans, contracts, specifications and special provisions.
NOTE: Incumbents do not supervise any contractors' activities and are not responsible for job site safety.

How will you contribute to the team?
- Reads contract plans, specifications, shop drawings, and regulatory agency manuals.
- Observes construction work such as trench excavation, pipe placement, backfill operations, pile driving, structure placement, steel reinforcement, concrete pouring, signalization and lighting, etc.
- Reviews shop drawings within limited area of expertise; logs and reports materials and work.
- Assists in directing the daily activities of less experienced staff.
- Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
- COMPLEXITY (Variety or uniqueness of tasks; relative difficulty or importance of work performed; size of unit supported, etc.): Applies conventional field observation practices in diversified construction projects of medium to large complexity.
- DECISION-MAKING (Supervision received; independent judgment or initiative; consequence of error): Receives direction on assignment objectives, complex features and possible solutions. Exercises some independent judgment in method selection and minor technical decisions.
- WORK DIRECTION GIVEN TO OTHERS (Titles and number of personnel; type of direction given): May give work direction to less experienced staff.
- INTERNAL CONTACTS (Required interaction/relationship with others within the organization): Interfaces with supervisor to receive direction and clarification of requirements.
- EXTERNAL CONTACTS (Required interaction/relationship with others outside the organization): May contact client representatives to keep them abreast of progress
What will you contribute?
- EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma (or equivalent) plus ten years related experience OR an Associates Degree in a related technical field plus eight years related experience is required.
- SPECIAL SKILLS Good oral communications skills and ability to organize information. Math computation skills and understanding of contract plans and specifications. Must be physically fit to do manual labor and carry up to 60 lbs.
- PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS No Professional Registrations required. May be required to obtain certification in nuclear density, aggregate, concrete and asphalt testing or other applicable areas.
