Requirements:

  • Digital Advantage: Minimum 2.2 Bachelor's degree in; Business Computing, Applied Computing, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Information Communications & Technology, Physics, Maths, Business Management, Economics, Accountancy/Finance, any STEM related degree.
  • Solution Design: Minimum 2.2 Bachelor's degree in; IT, Computer Science, Information Technology & Communications, Communications / Telecommunications, Computer Networking, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, App Development, Geospatial, IT and Business, IT Security, IT and Design, Any technology related or STEM degree.
  • User Experience: Minimum 2.2 Bachelor's degree in; Computer science, Ergonomics, Psychology, Product Design, Visual Communications or other design degrees.

Within Digital Advantage, a sub-practice of ADS&T, AtkinsRéalis has an experienced team of consultants who work with our clients to provide management and technical advice to help them achieve their digital transformation objectives. As a Digital Consultant within Digital Advantage, you will work on a variety of projects and roles across the breadth of our Markets, from business analysis to digital experience, digital strategy, and enterprise architecture, amongst many more. You will solve genuine business problems, applying a human touch, and utilising modern technology to solve some of society’s most challenging problems.

We operate as T-shaped consultants meaning that primarily all members of the Digital Advantage team, regardless of specialty, are wide-breadth consultants with people and stakeholder skills at the core. All Digital Advantage consultants will then have specific specialisms in Data, Security, Applications, Cyber and in this instance, Business Analysis and IT Architecture skills and experience.

Over the course of the Programme, you will benefit from dedicated training and development opportunities throughout your scheme. You will obtain techniques, methodologies, and frameworks to support you in your role as you develop your career path such as:

  • Digital Consultant: Collaborate with clients to conceive, design, and execute business solutions that align with the demands of the new digital world. Transform clients’ businesses across people, processes, and technology. Address technology challenges using market-leading digital and emerging technologies.
  • Designing Tomorrow’s Technology: Design, plan, implement, and govern enterprise information technology and digital architecture using industry frameworks and become a certified Enterprise Architect.
  • Project Management: Become familiar with projects and how they are developed, certify in APM Fundamentals with an opportunity to develop your skills beyond a foundation level.
  • Business Analysis: Identify business needs and determine solutions to help organisations adapt in a digital age. User Experience, Agile Thinking, Requirements Engineering, Stakeholder Analysis, Business Process Modelling and why not become certified with a Business Analysis Diploma.
  • Service Architecture: Design and build end-to-end lifecycle strategies for our client’s Services and Offerings. Become certified using a portfolio of industry certified frameworks.
  • Chartership: The Digital Consultancy Graduate Programme sets the foundations for the BCS Chartered IT Professional (CITP) qualification.

The definition of a solution varies; this is the challenge of working as a Consultant in some of the most dynamic, rapidly changing industries in the UK.

As a Solution Architect working in the Technology Solutions Team, you will be responsible for identifying and capturing requirements, building models and design artifacts, defining technology architectures, and authoring sometimes complex solutions to meet client business and technology objectives. You will be responsible for ensuring that these solutions and designs are efficient, flexible, sustainable, fit-for-purpose and meet our clients needs today, and into the future. You will have a very clear understanding of one or more leading technologies, an eye for detail, and an unwavering desire to achieve positive results for our clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building strong, supportive relationships with your clients. dentifying, capturing, and analysing requirements, opportunities, and risks.
  • Balancing technological and business solutions to address client needs.
  • Developing models, proposals, designs, solutions and plans in line with business strategies and appropriate frameworks.
  • Driving through customer strategies in often complex, mixed technology environments.
  • Defining features, requirements, and development phases against which delivery must be made.
  • Working within established parameters, and in line with a range of project management methodologies.

You’ll be joining our Technology Solutions practice, which supports clients with the delivery of digital and technology-based solutions. Our UX Team compromises Designers and Researchers that put the User/Customer at the heart of solution development, advocating that technology should be built based upon what people need to achieve with it. Working as a Graduate UX Consultant, you’ll conduct User Research and UX/UI Design activities working in AtkinsRéalis teams alongside our Business Analysts, Software Developers and others to craft and deliver modern, intuitive solutions.

Your role:

  • As a Graduate UX Consultant, you’ll play a vital role in shaping our client’s technology products and solutions, by:
  • Building strong, supportive relationships with our clients and their customers and end-users.
  • Being a user-centric advocate: understanding what humans need to do and ensuring technology is built around ‘what the person needs to do, rather than the system.
  • Identifying and eliciting requirements and User Needs by researching, interview and facilitating workshops with Users and Stakeholders.
  • Producing high quality User Research/UX deliverables including: Personas, Journey Maps, Service Blueprints.
  • Contributing to Product Roadmaps and prioritisation sessions, advocating for Business and User Needs.
  • Translating User Stories and Requirements into functional specifications and feature designs, including creating wireframes and interactive prototypes.


What we’re looking for:

  • Degree relevant to UX, UI or User Research or relevant industry/training experience (this could be Computer Science, UX Design, Graphic Design, Ergonomics, Psychology, a UX/UI Bootcamp or many more).
  • A passion for problem solving, analysis and conducting research.
  • An effective communicator and active listener, able to get to the root of a problem.
  • A holistic thinker, that can think around a problem and ideate different ways it could be solved.
  • Knowledge of UX/UCD principles and ideally a portfolio or case studies from relevant experience that demonstrate user-friendly, ergonomic interface designs.
