You’ll join us as a Graduate Consultant and will help provide expert advice to our clients on a range of complex projects. Our Consultants work across both public and private sectors, including universities, pharmaceutical, government and new and refurbishment development projects. You will learn to work with clients and learn to be confident, a good communicator, problem solving and well-rounded and broad-based consultant. You will be given the opportunity to grow, with a wide variety of projects to work on and learn from an experienced high-performing team.
Requirements: Obtained or expecting a 2.2 Bachelor’s degree or above in any discipline, as long as you can demonstrate a passion and understanding for Programme Management
What you’ll be doing
As a Graduate in the Programme Management and Programme Advisory team at Project & Programme Services, you'll provide independent advice and guidance to help our clients design and deliver complex programmes of work. Within the team we provide both Programme Management Office and Programme Advisory services, giving you the opportunity to rotate around disciplines throughout your Graduate Development Programme. By the end of the graduate scheme you’ll be a fully-fledged consultant, with experience in managing programmes from start to finish as well as designing, developing and implementing complex solutions for our clients.
Whilst on the Graduate Development Programme we will provide you with support and training to enable you to drive your career forward and learn to become a world class programme management consultant. Our two-year flexible graduate scheme promises to give you the support you need to develop your technical, commercial and consultancy skills. You will develop these skills through a mixture of client and internal projects, development and training activities. We will sponsor your tailored graduate plan throughout. From the exciting projects you will work on to the wide variety of career paths you can pursue, we will challenge you and support your development from day one.
Daily activities can include, but are not limited to:
- Working with our clients to deliver PMO services.
- Working across all stages of the programme lifecycle including designing, developing and implementing innovative solutions.
- Developing solutions to our clients complex problems – from development of business cases and procurements, to programme audit and design.
- Working with key stakeholders to deliver and embed change.
- Winning new work by supporting our bid team and cross selling our services across the business.
Throughout the Graduate Programme, you will be supported to grow your career in numerous directions. Upon graduation of the programme, you will be competent to support across our core service areas:
- Programme Advisory – supporting our clients to address challenges on complex programmes of work, specialising in areas such as strategy, change and operating models.
- Programme Delivery – focusing on understanding client objectives to deliver successful programme outputs and outcomes.
- PMO Services & Solutions – provides advisory services and delivers the implementation and optimisation of portfolio, programme or project management offices (PMOs).
- Digital Solutions – embedding our digital solutions into client programmes to provide programme analysis, insight and innovation.
Who we’re looking for
A talented Graduate with a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or above to work in a growing team of consultants. We’ll sponsor your training plan over the course of your two-year programme.
You’ll have ambition, vision, enthusiasm and the drive to keep on developing your technical skills and achieve professional status relevant to your chosen specialist technical area (including but not limited to RICS, IEMA, CIBSE, IAM). With a passion for working in a fully inclusive consultancy environment, you’ll want to work with clients and with teams who deliver to their customers.
You’ll be adaptable and a confident decision maker with excellent communication and team-working skills. You will also have the ability to apply your technical knowledge to analyse problems and create innovative solutions.
