Project Management Graduate Scheme - Project & Programme Services (PPS)

As a Graduate Project Manager on our prestigious programme you will help to support and deliver a variety of services across a range of challenging and exciting projects in the UK and internationally. We operate across a range of markets including; transportation, infrastructure, energy, defence, education, central and local government, commercial property and heritage.

Working as a Project Manager you will form an integral part of our established team of project and Programme Management practitioners and will be supported in all aspects of your career development. Our Project Managers are involved in some of the world’s most prestigious and complex projects, requiring meticulous planning to ensure successful delivery to our clients and stakeholders. 

As a Graduate Project Manager at PPS, you’ll be working directly with clients to achieve their goals, this may include assisting clients in developing the strategy for their project or programme, managing multidisciplinary project teams to turn ideas into tangible designs, or managing projects on site to help turn designs into reality. This will require spending time in PPS’s offices, the client’s office or the client’s site.

Requirements: Obtained or working towards a 2.2 Bachelor’s degree or above in a Project Management related degree or any subject for those who can demonstrate commercial or technical acumen. We’ll consider sponsoring your MSc on a day release basis if you don’t have a degree in a relevant subject.

You’ll join us as a Graduate Consultant and will help provide expert advice to our clients on a range of complex projects. Our Consultants work across both public and private sectors, including universities, pharmaceutical, government and new and refurbishment development projects. You will learn to work with clients and learn to be confident, a good communicator, problem solving and well-rounded and broad-based consultant. You will be given the opportunity to grow, with a wide variety of projects to work on and learn from an experienced high-performing team.

Who we’re looking for

A talented Graduate with a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or above to work in a growing team of consultants. We’ll sponsor your training plan over the course of your programme.

You’ll have ambition, vision, enthusiasm and the drive to keep on developing your technical skills and achieve professional status relevant to your chosen specialist technical area (including but not limited to RICS, IEMA, CIBSE, IAM). With a passion for working in a fully inclusive consultancy environment, you’ll want to work with clients and with teams who deliver to their customers.

You’ll be adaptable and a confident decision maker with excellent communication and team-working skills. You will also have the ability to apply your technical knowledge to analyse problems and create innovative solutions.

We also offer core learning modules to develop your softer skills such as technical writing and presentation skills to enable you to complete your day-to-day role.
  • Chartership coaching, professional training and industry exposure with a high-level clients and variety of projects.
  • This year across the RICS pathway, we have had exceptional APC results exceeding the national average by 35% with a combined pass rate of 100% which shows our dedication and commitment to training and learning and development. This high pass rate has been mirrored across other chartership routes.

You can either join us as Graduate Project Manager in our Commercial Property or Complex Infrastructure teams. More information on these teams can be found below.

Heading

If you join one of our Property teams you will enjoy exposure on a wide variety of schemes, in all sectors, including new university campuses, commercial office developments, refurbishment of listed buildings and museums, large residential scheme, theme parks, the list is endless! You will be given the opportunity to grow, with a wide variety of projects to work on with an experienced, high performing qualified team, to learn from. You will be developing your confidence, building upon your communication and problem solving skills as well as honing your management abilities

Our Infrastructure team enables you to work on the most prestigious and technically challenging Civil Engineering projects in the UK, influencing the way we live and shape the Built Environment. Our highly regarded team has a significant client base across multiple sectors, working for clients such as HS2, MoD, Network Rail, highways, nuclear power, renewable energy companies and major airports to name a few.

We provide all the necessary professional services to drive projects through to successful outcomes for our clients.

As a Graduate Project Manager in Complex Infrastructure, you will have the exciting opportunity to take responsibility for projects ranging between £1m - £100m+. This will involve spending time in the office or out on the client’s site, ensuring that client projects deliver their intended benefits to time, budget and the specification.
