insights Paradise Circus
Birmingham’s £700m redevelopment scheme includes up to ten new buildings, including Grade A offices, and a 4 star, 250 bed hotel built over a two-level basement car park.
As part of the ‘Big City Plan’ regenerating the former Paradise Circus calls for a major change to the infrastructure around the site. The city will be realigning highways, diverting utilities, incorporating tram lines into the new Midland Metro system, and demolishing old buildings, including the old Central Library.
Leading constructive expertise
Project & Programme Services has been successfully appointed for the first of the three phases of Paradise. Our teams are providing employer’s agent and quantity surveying services on the basement car park and podium, highways realignment, and the first two Grade A office buildings. These represent a total 350,000 square feet of lettable space, together with premium ground floor retail, and restaurant premises.
Inspiring a new generation
This exciting project will use beautiful spaces to bring together the arts, learning and commerce. New public squares will link the city centre’s commercial quarter with the new Library of Birmingham, International Convention Centre, and the canal side Brindleyplace. We’re proud to be part of a city transformation that will create vibrant communities, and help visitors get the most out of Birmingham.
