OVERVIEW
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Pipe Stress Engineer to join our Power & Industrial Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Bothell, WA.
YOUR ROLE
- Work closely with a multi‑discipline engineering team, collaborators, and clients.
- Assist with basic pipe stress analysis for power and industrial piping systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Support the modeling of piping systems using stress‑analysis software to help evaluate flexibility, stability, and equipment nozzle loads.
- Proactively gather information and ask questions to complete tasks accurately and on schedule.
- Help balance tasks across multiple projects while maintaining a strong commitment to safety.
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues, partners, and clients.
- Prepare clear, organized calculations with proper references and assumptions.
- Learn about pipe materials, valves, relief valves, and control valves.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as needed.
- Assist in communicating questions to equipment suppliers and reviewing technical documents.
- Occasional travel to project sites for installation verification of piping work

ABOUT YOU
- EXPERIENCE:
- Any field experience in construction, industrial, or piping is a plus
- EDUCATION:
- Completion of Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering degree from an ABET accredited college/university.
- SPECIAL SKILLS:
- Any CAD experience and any experience with Navisworks, AutoPipe, or Caesar
- Proficient interpersonal and communications skills.
- Math skills to perform simple calculations; willingness to learn.
- Capability to develop technical writings and reports.
- PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS:
- E.I. or E.I.T. (nice to have)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Expected compensation range is between $80,000 - $88,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
