Transportation Planner

Overview

We are seeking a TransportationPlanner to join our rapidly expanding Environmental Sciences group, in Guaynabo, PR .

Under direction, applies full competency in conventional planning work for Hazard Mitigation plans or Recovery plans and broad knowledge of precedents in functional area of assignment. Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of planning assignments in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope. Work may involve land utilization, urban planning, transportation or archaeological projects.

Your role

• Coordinates technical work requirements of planning projects.
• Provides guidance to more junior planners in the design and preparation of plans and technical reports, and in the preparation of graphics, proposals, contracts, scopes of work and feasibility studies.
• Conducts analyses to determine impact of proposed project.
• Designs and formulates plans in graphic or written format.
• Writes project proposal components.
• Assists in the management of projects and acts as project manager on specific project tasks.
• Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

About you

• Bachelor'S or Master's degree in Planning or related field. This level may be achieved by Planners with two years' experience since Bachelor'S or one year since Master's.
• Typical incumbent has 4-5 years' experience.
• Professional Planner Certification preferred (AICP).

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $70,000 - $79,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
