We are on the hunt for a passionate graphic designer, with relevant years industry experience to cover maternity leave for our Graphic Designer.You will be the Graphic Designer for the Aerospace, Defence, Security and Technology (ADS&T) division, driving quality and creativity throughout the team, while contributing to a positive working culture. You will work directly with and support the ADS&T Marketing Development Team with their requirements and support the wider team where and when necessary.

This role involves working on a wide range of different and creative materials for the division including event stands, thought leadership papers, infographics, brochures, digital magazines, social media assets and PowerPoint presentations.

The company was rebranded in September 2023, which was a big change to a very bright and bold design, and it is still very new to all who use it. You will be the brand guardian for the division, ensuring the brand manual is adhered to in your own design work as well as that of others, providing colleagues with advice on how to apply and use our new brand to ensure that delivery is of the highest standard, both creatively and technically.We use a large range of different formats and channels for our materials which will need to consider for all designs – our website Beyond Engineering, the ADS&T Knowledge Hub (internal SharePoint site), Flipsnack (an online interactive magazine creator), social media - mainly LinkedIn posts and we use Canva to create the social media assets. Training will be provided by our Senior Graphic Designer.

Your purpose:

  • A creative thinker who is comfortable talking with clients and colleagues to understand their ideas and bring them to life.
  • Familiar with the fundamentals of design such as layout, typography and composition, but always looking to learn and improve.
  • An experienced user of the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. Proven track record of creating high-quality, impactful materials across a range of formats.
  • Knowledge of After Effects and motion design/video production would be advantageous.
  • Great at stakeholder management and experienced working with people at all levels.
  • Prepared to push boundaries – happy with day-to-day tasks but always looking for ways to add value.Organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Interested in working with digital teams to deliver innovative multi-discipline solutions.
