AtkinsRéalis' Project Delivery team is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team in Atlantic Canada: Our Project Managers are responsible for the timely and efficient coordination and delivery of various projects within our Project Delivery team.

Your role within the team:

  • Initial project planning including scope clarification and execution planning.
  • Preparation of proposal submissions.
  • Accountable for quality of design teams work.
  • Prepare all technical documentation required for the execution of the project, including, but not limited to:
    • Technical studies
    • Design basis
    • Conceptual designs
    • Detailed designs
    • Technical specifications
    • Field work
    • Tender Phase services
    • Construction Phase Services
    • Record drawings
    • Health and safety of the team
  • Establish and maintain a climate favorable to the application of ethical and professional practices in the execution of the engineering work.
  • Develop H&S plans for projects, and ensure compliance with all applicable codes and legislation, including occupational health and safety, WHMIS and hazardous substances programs.

The ideal candidate:

  • Hold a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer with 10 years’ experience in project management and industrial / intuitional facilities buildings design, degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical engineering, Project Management Accreditation (PMP) an asset.
  • Ability to obtain public works security clearance as a condition of employment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices and the flow of design in project management.
  • Knowledge of all project management functions, including design, contracts, procurement of services, and project accounting, including experience performing risk analysis, preparing contracts, purchase orders.
  • Understanding of change management process with proven ability to manage conflict resolution and multiple complex project.
  • Ability to travel within Canada as required.
