AtkinsRéalis Project Delivery team is seeking a Project Manager to based out of our Lower Mainland offices in British Columbia. Our Project Managers are responsible for the timely and efficient coordination and delivery of transmission and substation projects for major utility clients.

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading multi-disciplinary projects for a variety of Business Units and TPOs. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for developing team members and an enthusiasm for delivering projects and proposals on schedule, budget and to a high level of quality.  Key areas include Industrial, Rail & Transit, Complex Buildings, Airports, and Ports & Marine. The Project Manager will report to the Senior Project Delivery Manager for day-to-day line management and to Business Unit Portfolio leads regarding their project performance.

Your role within the team:

  • Set and maintain project schedules, budgets, and technical execution.
  • Develop work plans, identify risks, and devise contingency strategies.
  • Manage technical requirements and ensure successful project scope delivery.
  • Identify stated and underlying client needs and tailor work activities accordingly.
  • Ensure projects adhere to best practices, QA/QC methods, and the QMS system.
  • Coordinate resource allocation, promote staff development, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Build client relationships, identify opportunities, and lead proposal preparation.

The ideal candidate:

  • Education: University degree or higher with 6+ years of experience delivering complex projects.
  • Professional Registration: CAPM and/or PMP designation or the ability to acquire within one year of employment. Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) is an asset.
  • Project Delivery: Proven experience managing multidisciplinary projects on schedule, budget, and to high quality standards in a client design consultant environment. 
  • Client and Stakeholder Relations: Experience working directly with clients and stakeholders.
  • Commercial Management: Experience with contracts, commercial activities, and proposal development.
  • Sector Experience: Experience leading buildings, power, ports & marine Projects. Health care or water industry would be an asset.
  • Language skills: Excellent communication and writing skills, with a strong attention to detail. Fluency in English is essential, and bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset.

Expected compensation for this role is between Pay Range $87,000 - $134,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
