Role Summary
We are now seeking a Project Manager to join AtkinsRéalis’ highly successful national Rolling Stock team. The role of Project Manager will see you deliver assigned Rolling Stock projects and work packages, at various stages to ensure delivery within time and budget while managing quality and risk to the approved standard or better

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Deliver assigned projects and work packages, at various stages to ensure delivery within scope, time and budget while managing quality and risk to the approved standard or better.

  • Facilitate and guide Risk Assessments, workshops and design reviews.

  • Develop high level requirements into functional specifications and progress to detailed technical solutions, working with key stakeholders and suppliers.

  • Coordinate Procurement activities.

  • Produce Scope of Works to distil designs into procurable packages of resources, materials and services.

  • Verify requirements and support business cases to consider safety, reliability, comfort, whole-life maintenance and operating costs.
     

Desired Skills, Experience and Capabilities

  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics.

  • Experience managing risk and safety in a rail environment or similar industry e.g. defence, aerospace or government.

  • Demonstrated experience in reliability engineering and systems engineering.

  • Demonstrable experience on rolling stock projects, and able to demonstrate an acute ability to track and report on deliverables in a specific, measurable and time-bound matter.

  • Experience in an urban passenger railway environment.

  • Demonstrable experience on rolling stock projects.
