Responsibilities
- Lead the operation and maintenance of the data center and MPLS network for the Riyadh Bus project as part of the IT/Telecom Infrastructure team.
- Oversee and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
- Hands-on supervision of the operations and maintenance of the data center and telecom infrastructure, including fiber optic, GSM, and related networking components and protocols.
- Conduct cybersecurity audits of the data center and manage related upgrades.
- Implement and monitor performance-based tools to evaluate contractor performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with IT professionals to integrate network solutions with other systems.
- Perform network performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Design and implement network solutions to meet business requirements.
Qualifications & Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the design and operation of data centers and telecom infrastructure.
- Certifications such as CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale projects.
- Previous experience operating a data center for a public transport project.
