Degree requirements: Obtained or working towards a 2.2 Bachelor’s degree or above in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a degree in any subject for those who can demonstrate logical reasoning, analytical thinking, commercial or technical acumen e.g. science, economics, history or engineering.
Our team of project controls experts work on some of the most prestigious and technically exciting Infrastructure projects in the UK, influencing the way we live and shape the Built Environment. Our highly regarded Project Controls team in which we work has a significant Client base across multiple sectors, working for Clients such as Network Rail, Highways England, EDF Energy, Yorkshire Water, AstraZeneca and Gatwick Airport to name just a few.
The team combine enthusiasm and passion with technical expertise to manage and control a wide range of projects and schemes from concept through to design to commissioning. At the core of our work is the establishment of integrated controls to; provide a clear and consistent view of the project and its progress to enable informed resolutions in a timely manner; providing confidence that projects are being managed on time within scope and within budget.
You will be at the heart of a wide range of projects, involved in all facets of project controls, including cost management, schedule management, risk management and change management. Working with the various disciplines in a project to establish a regime and structure that supports the successful delivery of the works. You will be influencing the key objectives on projects by providing expert guidance and key data to drive the project forward. If you want to be at the centre of major projects and have a thirst for knowledge, then Project Controls is the place for you.
As a Project Controls professional at F+G you be working directly with clients to achieve their goals, this may include assisting clients in developing the strategy for their project or programme, as part of multidisciplinary project teams to turn ideas into tangible designs, or managing projects onsite to help turn concepts into reality. This will require spending time in F+G’s offices, the client’s office or the client’s site.
In joining our Project Controls team, you will be developing your communication and problem-solving skills as well as honing your data analytical skills and business acumen. You will be given the opportunity to grow, with a wide variety of large and exciting projects to work on with an experienced, high performing qualified team, to learn from.

Planning Management:
Join us as a Graduate in Planning & Project Controls and enjoy exposure to a wide variety of industries, clients, and projects. With an unwavering commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency, we are well positioned to add value to project goals by developing integrated plans, monitoring progress and influencing mitigation of project delays. Using cutting edge software such as Primavera, BIM and PowerBi to help communicate planning information based on data, to the project team.
Cost Management:
Join us as a Graduate in Cost Management where you will add value in some of the country’s largest programmes of work. With budgets in the billions, the role of cost management is highly recognised and aids clients in meeting their targets. This is done by understanding forecast of works, understanding data and producing reports and dashboards to support information to Stakeholders.
Risk Management:
Join us as a Graduate in Risk Management where you will work with an array of stakeholders and project teams to deliver risk management strategies to inform decision making for major projects and programmes. The role of risk management involves the facilitation of risk reviews with project teams to identify, assess and mitigate risks to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time, whilst meeting their budget, quality and performance requirements. You will use a variety of qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to provide increased predictability to budgets and schedules.
