AtkinsRéalis’ Major Projects division is in search of a Project Information & BIM Manager to join the East Harbour Transit Hub Alliance project in Toronto, Ontario! The Project Information & BIM Manager will be part of a high-performing project team that is dedicated to delivering this complex undertaking through collaboration and a best-for-project vision.

How will you contribute to the team?

To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Engage with the project team to identify Employer Information Requirements (EIR) for BIM projects and collaborate with the BIM team to establish and maintain project processes.
  • Support and manage the Common Data Environment (CDE) for projects and promote the integration of new technologies into project workflows.
  • Optimize BIM processes and workflows to enhance project deliverables and timelines including development and implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and create project-specific workflows and processes.
  • Manage the BIM/VDC Team, ensuring full BIM LOD 500 completion deliverables (models, drawings, documentation) at the end of the project, 4D scheduling for construction planning, clash detection, and quantity dashboards from models.
  • Manage the Document Control team and coordinate with a global team to improve efficiency in project deliverables.
  • Handle PIMS systems interfaces, collaborating with the team on Aconex, JD Edwards, Procore, Designer SharePoint, P6, Avetta, InEight, and various connections through APIs and BI Reporting.
  • Manage SharePoint for the Alliance as well as regularly updating workflows and distribution lists as required, along with developing and delivering training modules.

The ideal candidate:

  • University or college degree in a related field with a minimum of 10 years of experience in BIM design, planning, engineering, and/or construction, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven track record and extensive experience in BIM processes and workflows on major infrastructure projects, including experience in managing processes within an organization and/or projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of BIM methodologies, tools, 3D BIM, and related technologies with in depth knowledge of ISO 19650, Employer Information Requirements (EIR), and Information Delivery Planning
  • Strong knowledge of document control and information exchange standards and processes with the ability to articulate a vision and strategy, and to find creative solutions to complex issues.
  • Excellent communication, written, oral, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
