Overview
The Junior Resource Strategy Analyst is responsible for supporting organizational and project resource planning by analyzing workforce demand, capacity, utilization, and staffing trends, under project control department. This role partners with project managers, discipline leaders, and human resources to develop resource forecasts, identify gaps, optimize workforce allocation, and provide data-driven insights to support strategic business decisions.
Your role
Planning & Forecasting:
- Assist lead to develop and maintain short-term and long-term resource forecasts based on project portfolios, business pipelines, and operational requirements.
- Analyze workforce demand and capacity to identify resource shortages, surpluses, and critical skill gaps.
- Support annual workforce planning and budgeting activities.
- Collaborate with project and functional managers to align staffing needs with business priorities.
- Will work for other assigned cost control tasks within project control department.
Analytics & Reporting:
- Monitor resource utilization, availability, productivity, and workforce trends.
- Update Bridget Bench system, create dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools such as Power BI, EcoSys, or other reporting platforms.
- Assist lead to provide insights and recommendations to improve workforce efficiency and optimize resource deployment.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to staffing, utilization, and resource performance.
Strategic Workforce Management:
- Support talent acquisition and workforce planning initiatives by identifying future staffing requirements.
- Analyze organizational capability needs and recommend strategies to address skill shortages.
- Assist leadership in evaluating resource scenarios and business growth opportunities.
- Support succession planning and workforce development initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with Engineering teams, Project Management and HR teams to ensure resource plans are aligned with business objectives.
- Participate in resource review meetings and coordinate the data flow into a project control in a systematic format.
- Communicate resource risks, constraints, and opportunities to management.

About you
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Human Resources, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- New grads are welcome.
- Experience in resource planning, project controls, workforce planning, business analysis, project management, or related disciplines are preferred.
- Experience in engineering, construction, infrastructure, consulting, or project-based organizations is an asset.
- Experience working with ERP systems, resource management tools, and reporting platform is an asset.
- Experience with Power BI, Power Query or similar analytics tools.
- Familiarity with project controls concepts, including cost management, scheduling, and earned value management, is an asset.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functional teams.
- Able to work within tight deadlines for ad hoc requests, with stretched capacity.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
