Your role within the team:

  • Lead the delivery of commissioning and related services for new building construction projects of varying types, sizes, and complexities.

  • Achieve project objectives outlined in Owner’s Project Requirements, Construction Contract Documents, LEED, or other building rating systems.

  • Support the commissioning team in generation of technical documents including commissioning plan, specifications to suite project requirement.

  • Direct and document commissioning and related testing activities.

  • Chair project commissioning meetings and provide technical guidance to the project stakeholders.

  • Conducting test studies on equipment and processes to assess compliance with requirements.

  • Analysis of test data and collection of samples, where required.

  • Evaluate the installation and functional performance of building systems to optimize efficiency.

  • Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot building systems during commissioning phases.

  • Provide recommendations on equipment/process operation/optimization.

  • Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary project teams.

  • Contribute to refining internal processes and documentation.

  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and secure new projects.

  • Provides general support to the CQV group to meet department goals and objectives.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Three years of experience in commissioning for building system engineering.

  • Experience and/or understanding of bioprocess or pharmaceutical manufacturing systems and building systems is an asset.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong attention to detail regarding documentation is a must.

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite.

  • Must be mobile within the Calgary and BC Area.

  • Possess a valid Driver’s License
