The HR Business Partner will drive business performance through its people. Working closely with the MD in Hong Kong and senior leadership team, he/she will take an active role in executing business and HR plans.
The primary purpose of the role is to be responsible for the people agenda, promoting prioritisation of people consequences of business decisions and enabling high performance of leaders and managers.
The HR Business Partner will be a key member of the Asia HR management team and by demonstrating high level business acumen he/she will contribute fully to commercial and business decision making.
This role reports to the HR Director, Asia.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the relationship between Transportation & Water sector, Building & Places sector, and HR Shared Services (People Hub, HR Operations, and Centres of Expertise) to ensure a common understanding of business requirements and to enable employees and managers to receive appropriate levels of service.
- Take a leading role in executing business strategy, ensuring that the people agenda is embedded within it.
- Act as a change agent to support evolution of the business to be well positioned for market and other changes.
- Proactively participate as a member of the HR senior team in the Asia HR Business Partners Forum which meets monthly to drive HR strategy and plans.
- Facilitate business performance by enabling business leaders and managers to get the best out of their people through effective performance management.
- Champion, challenge, and support organisational development.
- Lead internal cultural development for the business (engagement, empowerment, consistency, collaboration, diversity, accountability) in line with corporate goals.
- Ensure that appropriate KPIs and management information are in place to drive continuous improvement and enable measurement of progress against targets.
- Lead talent and succession management for the business.
- Maximise employee utilisation through improved resource planning and effective talent mobility.
- Coach leaders on people-related matters including talent attraction, development, performance management and succession planning.
- Assure compliance and governance.
- Manage business risk.
- The HRBP takes overall responsibility for the service to internal clients by the shared HR service delivery teams whether in People Hub, HR Operations, or the Centres of Expertise.
- As well as delivering the people agenda within the business, the HRBP will also work alongside other senior HR colleagues to develop and deliver the wider AtkinsRéalis people strategy.
Requirements:
- Crucial to success as an HRBP is high level capabilities in the following key areas:
- Commercial and business acumen demonstrated in a middle to senior level HR role or as a
- business leader.
- Strategic mindset and ability demonstrated by a breadth of strategic thinking and a depth of
- intellectual capability. He/she will need to be capable of gaining credibility with business colleagues, sound judgement and robust decision making.
- Influencing repertoire - The HRBP will build deep trusting relationships and maintain a high degree of integrity.
- Strong influencing and communications skills, political awareness and high levels of emotional intelligence are key requirements.
- Listening and communicating effectively across the organization.
- Analytical and adopt data driven approach to identify gaps for areas of development in professional and objective manners.
