To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for the instrumentation engineering & preparation of drawings and technical documentation required for the execution of Industrial projects (Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, Mission Critical projects – Data Centre) from concept design, FEED design and detailed design.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analysis of regulatory requirement and safety design as per standards.
- Prepare high quality engineering deliverables within agreed timeline.
- Basis of Design / Automation Topology for DCS / SIS / FGS / BMS / EMS.
- Instrument Data Sheets & Sizing Calculation.
- Familiar with FGS detectors and experience in designing FGS system.
- I/O List / System Architecture / Cable Block Diagram.
- Instrument Installation and Hook-up drawing.
- Instrument Location Plan Layout.
- Functional Flow Diagram (HVAC).
- Instrument Main Cable Route.
- Cable Schedule, loop drawings, instrument connection list.
- Experience in designing BMS (Building Management System) and EMS (Environmental Management System). (added advantage).
- Have experience in IT Security system. (added advantage).
- Experience in designing telecommunication system, eg MCP, CCTV, PAGA, etc.
- Bill of Materials Take off.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
- 6-10 years’ experience in the Instrumentation engineering preferably in Industrial projects.
- Strong experience in dealing with Client and inter discipline communication for any design work or issue.
- Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia. PEng is an added advantage.
- Experienced in EPCM work environment.
- Strong experience in Instrumentation engineering and construction work.
- Experienced in tools and software such as Autocad etc.
- Thorough Knowledge of Malaysia Code and local legislative regulations / International codes regulations.
- Added value in having past work experience in the multicultural team and hybrid environment.
- Good communication skills.
