We are recruiting for a role in our global communications and marketing team.

AtkinsRéalis is looking for a Senior Advisor, External Communications (6-9 month contract starting January 2025).

In this role you will be part of our global network of external communication experts. You will work in a transformative, collaborative and energetic environment supporting your peers in delivering integrated communications plans aligned to our global business objectives.

As part of our Global External Communications Centre of Excellence (CoE), you’ll be based in Bangalore, India, supporting the Company’s external communications across Asia, Middle East and Australia (AMEA) region. You will be reporting to the Senior Manager, External Communications based in the Middle East. Your content writing skills will be key to leveraging a consistent tone of voice and powerful messaging across traditional and digital communications channels. Your strategic thinking will contribute to the development and deployment of external communications strategies, including proactive and reactive media relations and industry events to promote AtkinsRéalis’ capabilities, market presence and industry thought leadership. You will work with and support colleagues from around the world, develop your knowledge and skills while creating valuable relationships.

The successful candidate has a strong ability to learn from and adapt to any situation. The candidate’s core strength is the ability to anticipate and understand stakeholder needs and put forward tangible actions with measurable results. The role will be suited for a creative task-driven person who knows how to build relationships and enjoys learning from others. The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be comfortable dealing with a diverse range of people at all levels of seniority.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, literature, marketing or related field
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience

Essential Criteria

  • Excellent English writing skills
  • Proven ability to convey complex topics in simple language to multiple audiences
  • Proven ability to think in a multichannel approach
  • High accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong media relations in India
  • Strong knowledge of B2B events in India
  • Team player and can-do approach
  • Proven experience in digital communications and social media
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven experience in reporting on deliverables
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders
  • Experience working at a multi-national PR agency/B2B clients in the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry is a plus
  • Candidates with good media relations and industry events experience across India, Middle East, Asia and Australia are preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively as part of a global team of external and internal communicators and marketeers delivering both regional and global projects where required
  • Support the development of various communication material (e.g., brief, key messages, press releases, social media posts, video scripts, etc.)
  • Devise effective reporting mechanisms and contribute to regular reporting on functional as well as tactical performance
  • Work with internal, marketing and creative design teams to support the development of appropriate themes and content for planned communications initiatives
  • Ensure that practices, procedures, methodologies and tools are used effectively so that the objectives set out in the business plan are attained

Additional Information

Role is based in Bangalore, India. Travel within the AMEA region might be required depending on business needs

Full time role – 45 hrs per week (requests for flexible working will be considered)

Temporary position

Salary – competitive salary on offer; dependent on experience and hours
