Are you someone who loves delighting clients, putting them first by making plans for delivery, inspiring teams to successfully make it happen, and adapting to change?  If that’s you, then we are waiting for you to join our engineering project management team.

Our team within the nuclear business specialises in taking on some of the most significant engineering projects in the sector.  Our business is growing and focuses on providing engineering services to a client base that is at the forefront of Engineering.

The Project Management opportunities we have are varied in size and therefore responsibility levels from delivering our consultancy engineering, design and project management services, to being embedded within the client organisation.  As such we are looking for Senior Project Managers, part time or full time.

Your purpose:

As an AtkinsRéalis Project Manager, you will be working closely with our clients to accurately capture project requirements, develop plans. Proactively managing all aspects of project delivery, including forecasting, control, change management, risk management and reporting on project progress. You will support the development, implementation and sharing of best practice for project management. You will support our operational management through project financial planning and reporting, resourcing and management of cash flow within projects.

Although you will be based at one of our offices (Bristol, Glasgow, Derby, Sheffield, Epsom, Suffolk), at AtkinsRéalis we’re we support hybrid working, prioritising our clients’ needs, but splitting time between client, AtkinsRéalis home office, and home.

  • If you enjoy thinking ahead, anticipating and preventing project problems before they happen and are exceptionally well-organised in everything you do then we’d love to hear from you.
  • An enjoyment building rapport and relationships with others, being confident enough to procure and grow business. You’ll love to motivate and inspire your team to make things happen. Astute at managing commercial risks agreeing the best way forwards and enjoys finding solutions. focused on the small things that others easily miss, ensuring contract documents, such as offer and variations, are clear, concise, and without ambiguity.
  • It is beneficial if you hold an Engineering degree and / or a Project Management qualification.

Security clearance: 

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearanceIf this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
