We are seeking a Asset Management Consultant II to join our team in Austin,TX to lead and work on various Tolls, highways, TXDOT PROJECTS.

How will you contribute to the team?  

·       Under supervision, work collaboratively with our Asset Management Practice team and business units to deliver high quality Asset Management advice and consultancy Transportation clients to support them on their Asset management transformation journey.

·       Major results expected include high-quality written, verbal and graphical deliverables in the form of asset management plans and reports, progress reports and other related documentation.

·       Applies general asset management planning experience to solve specific infrastructure asset-related problems.

·       Uses Asset Management experience to help transform organizations in meeting their asset management aspirations to support their corporate objectives.

·       Supports on time and in budget delivery of asset management projects.

·       Uses strategic thinking capabilities to design and execute project approach with support and guidance of other Senior Consultants in the Asset Management Practice.

·       Brings client understanding and engagement skills to support asset management opportunities in collaboration with Asset Management Practice Director or colleagues in the various market teams.

·       Supports strategic asset management elements including gap analysis and improvement plans against ISO55001, business process engineering, and business plan development.

·       Supports development of Asset management policy and develops asset strategies.

·       Supports development of Strategic Asset Management plans and asset specific management plans.

·       Supports Asset Management capability, supporting clients in strengthening their AM skills and expertise.

·       Writes reports, participates in presentations, discusses concepts and deliverables with clients, and participates in quality-control checks.

·       Supports clients in ISO 55001 certification

·       Proposes solutions, quantifies expected results and presents recommendations to other senior consultants in the practice.

·       Coordinates with various departments within the organization (both client and consultant staff) to complete approved recommendations, ensures that all parties understand the proposed solution, documents requirements accurately and executes the implementation plan in a timely manner.

·       Performs such assignments and duties as the Supervisor may deem necessary from time to time

SCOPE

COMPLEXITY (Variety or uniqueness of tasks; relative difficulty or importance of work performed; size of unit supported, etc.):

·       Requires a high level of analytical ability to gather and interpret data. Requires ability to plan for, prioritize, coordinate, and handle a variety of complex tasks, interpreting and adapting established procedures and guidelines as necessary and appropriate.

·       Asset Investment Planning, both long term and short term.

·       Development of risk-based decision-making tools and methodologies, and investment prioritization.

·       Maintenance Management Program development.

DECISION-MAKING (Supervision received; independent judgment or initiative; consequence of error):

·       Work is performed under the supervision of a technical manager, but often requires use of independent judgment and initiative to determine the approach or action to take in varied situations.

·       Work is reviewed for progress and results.

·       Exercises independent judgment on regular assignments.

·       Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions.

·       Work is reviewed for application of sound professional judgment and assistance is provided on unusual problems

PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS

·       None required. PE Preferred. IAM Certificate Preferred.

What will you contribute?

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

·       B.S. degree in Engineering, Business, Information Technology or another subject related to the discipline of Asset Management such as Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or Engineering.

·       Master's degree/MBA can substitute for one year of experience.

·       This level may be achieved by candidates with two (2) years’ experience since Bachelor's or one (1) years since Master's/MBA. Relevant work experience would provide exposure to asset management consulting, including work in operations, maintenance, design of infrastructure assets in transportation (highways/tolls), transit, aviation, water, ports, sectors.

·       Without a degree, a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience required.

SPECIAL SKILLS

·       Position requires strong analytical ability, good communication/interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and technical writing skills.

·       Strong personal computer skills and ability to work in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word and Access, are required.

·       Position requires ability to deal effectively and harmoniously with people at all levels of the organization and to represent the firm professionally.

·       Good interpersonal skills are essential to interact effectively. Experience and understanding of asset modelling and management systems.

·       Working knowledge of ISO55000 is preferred.

·       Possesses or working towards obtaining a Certificate in Asset Management from an accredited industry body.

Expected compensation range is between $61,000 - $102,000 depending on skills, experience, and geographical location
