The Project Manager has overall accountability for the progression of planning and readiness activities related to C6 retube tooling delivery.

The Project Manager is the primary point of contact to ensure a consistent, deliberate, and clear methodology is used for key decisions, and advancement of deliverables as per the scope of work.

This position reports to the C1R Vendor Delivery Manager.

This role will be based in Mississauga, ON.

Your role within the team:

  • Responsible for managing the manufacturing and testing of assigned tooling systems through vendor subcontracts.
  • Coordinate with a multidisciplinary project team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among engineers and other key stakeholders.
  • Coordinates with key stakeholders to ensure all activities are progressing as per project schedule.
  • Manage all aspects of contract administration, including scope, change control and risk management. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and governance. Accountable for rigorous risk analysis in accordance with corporate standards.
  • Coordinating closely with quality assurance to ensure all quality requirements of the project are met.
  • Apply key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor project health and performance. Establish rigorous reporting protocols to meet contract, corporate, and project-specific oversight requirements.
  • Responsible for all contract management including scope & change control, requirements management, subcontractor and supplier management.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Ensure effective communication and coordination to keep all parties informed and aligned with project goals. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
  • Provides status and progress reports in support of the Vendor Delivery Manager.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with corporate standards of ethical conduct, cyber-security, import-export regulations, intellectual property protections, and security clearance protocols.
  • Accountable for all aspects of nuclear and industrial safety including adherence with corporate and customer safety programs.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Language Proficiency: Candidates should be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
  • Project Experience: 5+ years of experience leading or supporting projects in manufacturing and/or engineering services.
  • Nuclear Supply Chain: Understanding of nuclear supply chain and materials management principles.
  • Leadership: Lead by example, setting high standards for Health & Safety and Nuclear Safety Culture.
  • Quality Assurance: Appreciation of the importance of Quality Assurance Programs and their significance to the nuclear industry.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and customer relationship skills. Demonstrated oral and written communication abilities.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and understand drawings, technical requirements and detailed specifications.
  • Project Delivery: Understanding of project delivery methodology, including earned value, critical path scheduling, prime contract and subcontract management, procurement and supply chain methodology, and inspection and test plans.
  • Safety Knowledge: Working knowledge of industrial safety and nuclear safety culture.
  • Nuclear Experience: Experience working in a nuclear environment is an asset.
  • Educational Background: Engineering degree or equivalent is an asset.
  • Certifications: PMP certification is an asset.
