Training & Onboarding Coordinator

The Onboarding Coordinator will report to the Manager, Onboarding, and will be responsible for coordinating the onboarding and orientation of new Candu employees. This includes liaising with multiple departments to ensure that all new employees have the tools and training they need to succeed in their careers with Candu Energy.

Location – Mississauga, ON 

Your role within the team:

  • Maintain the New Hire Listing using data provided by the HR team.
  • Report successes or challenges regarding the onboarding process to various levels of management as required.
  • Update the Employee Orientation presentation by collaborating with other support departments (HR, HSE, Security, Communications, IT).
  • Annually update the Onboarding Procedure.
  • Maintain stock of branded merchandise for new employees.
  • Track and analyze onboarding metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement and prepare reports for management.
  • Weekly tasks:
    • Submit IT tickets for outstanding equipment and account access including follow-up and issues resolution.
    • Update and distribute a list of upcoming new employees to the Onboarding Team and Hiring Managers.
    • Create and provide new employees with a complete package of company-branded items, login credentials, and the presentation.
    • Work with various departments to resolve issues that arise during the onboarding process.
    • Set up the onboarding room before the start of the Orientation, including ordering of refreshments and coordination of presenters.
    • Present common information at the Employee Orientation session.

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar coordination role.
  • Experience in an office environment.

  • Knowledge of office processes, procedures, equipment, and filing systems.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Work Locations:

  • Primary work location will be in the Mississauga, ON office.
  • Occasional travel to other project sites may be required.
