We are hiring! AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Plant 3D Designer (Water/Wastewater Infrastructure) to join our team. This position can be located in one of several locations including, Henderson NV, Orlando, Fl, Austin or Houston TX, Atlanta GA, or Alexandria VA.

How will you contribute to the team?

• Provides design, production and coordination of construction plans and drawings in support of engineering projects.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Plant 3D.
• Selects and recommends design procedures as directed.
• Typical duties may involve, depending on service, conceptual and final design of utilities, grading, pavement and drainage, electrical diagrams or mechanical details for structures or bridges, roadway alignment, architectural details, sanitary sewer pump station, or water & sewer systems/treatment plan design, etc.
• Researches, recommends and presents alternate design approaches based upon client request, governmental code requirements and other needs.
• Performs and supervises designs utilizing CAD.
• Coordinates, monitors and oversees design completion, permit applications, material quantities and cost estimates performed by junior designers and technicians.
• Assists junior professionals in making design decisions.
• May write specifications, feasibility studies, plans and preliminary reports.
• Organizes or directs field visits to collect data or resolve design conflicts.
• May train less experienced junior professionals, designers and CAD technicians as required.
• Performs such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
• Complexity:

Ability to handle work that involves analytical ability to select and recommend design procedures, interpret complex ordinances and specifications, analyze design requirements and provide design solutions.

• Decision-making:

Ability to work independently on design projects, consistently exercising discretion and judgment, under direction. Design work utilizes individual creativity but is always reviewed by a Professional Engineer or other technical staff.

• Work direction given to others:

Coordinates with guides and/or reviews the work of junior professionals, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments.

What will you contribute?

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline plus five years' experience, or Associate's degree plus a minimum of ten years' progressive drafting and design experience, including at least five as a Designer, or HS diploma (or equivalent) plus a minimum of fifteen years progressive drafting and design experience, including at least ten as a Designer.
• Strong proficiency with the following AutoCAD design packages is required:
  • Civil 3D
  • Plant 3D
  • Revit
  • Navisworks
  • Familiarity with Dynamo for Revit is preferred
  • Good technical writing and communication skills

Expected compensation range is between $80,000 - $120,000 annually OR $38.00 - $57.00 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
