We are seeking a Senior Work Controls Specialist Energy, to join the team in our Richland, WA office.

How will you contribute to the team?  

  • Develops and implements Work Control processes and procedures.

  • Oversees Work Control personnel and activities.

  • Develops, implements, and manages Plan of the Day (POD), Plan of the Week (POW) and Category I and Category II work packages.

  • Supervise and plan the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and within the facility.

  • Serves as Point of Contact (POC) for operations management for all work undertaken within the AEL in support of LAWMAST.

  • Provides direction to the maintenance staff and operations management on Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO).

  • Provides department leadership and direction to project support operations.

  • Confer with management, production staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.

  • Interfaces with staff, the operations team and supporting sub-contractors to ensure work is completed in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring that safety is an integral element embodied in all work activities.

  • Works in multi-discipline teams on project-based work and ensures integration of design across multiple disciplines.

  • Understands, complies and is responsible for working to environmental health and safety policies and procedures and attends meetings as required.

  • Provides assistance and advice during facility /project commissioning phase.

  • Provides daily feedback to Client Representatives on status of work plans and work accomplished.

  • Conducts Post job briefings and Lessons Learned from daily work activities.

  • Coordinates with EHS to ensure all work is performed in a safe and complaint manner.

  • Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, enforcing rules, and assisting in decisions about the purchase of materials or services, participates in meetings concerning work control activities.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What will you contribute?  

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Four (4) years’ experience in a supervisory position preferred.

  • Two (2) years of field, facility, or project work interfacing with multiple project disciplines a plus.

  • A valid driver’s license with a clean record required.

  • Evidence of insurability required.

  • Project Management experience preferred.

  • Construction Management experience preferred.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Knowledge of drawings, layout drawings, arrangement, assembly and detail drawings, specifications, and data sheets, is desired.

  • Ability to work with national codes and standards.

  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

  • Detailed oriented, capable of time and project management.

  • Ability to work with design processes, process flow diagrams, piping, and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).

  • Technical writing abilities.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

  • Ability to work occasionally at elevated heights.

  • Ability to work with employees at all organizational levels.

  • Ability to work rotating shifts (if needed).

  • Be available during “off” hours to respond to facility contingencies.

  • Flexibility to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Must be a U.S citizen in order to be considered.

Expected compensation range is between $84,000 - $140,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.  

Upon acceptance of an offer, all candidates must go through a drug screen test and background check. AtkinsRéalis is a federal contractor which mandates a satisfactory background screening report and drug test that supersedes state laws.
