AtkinsRéalis Canada Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Engineering Technician Co-op Student

to join Materials Laboratory Team in our Vaughan, Ontario location.

Our Co-op Student Program is designed for university and college students pursuing a degree in a Civil, Materials, Geotechnical field and provides opportunities to learn what it’s like to work in a professional environment and apply what’s learned in class to the real-world challenges we face every day.

Location – Vaughan, ON

Your role within the team:

• Conducting materials testing in accordance with CSA (Canadian Standards Association), OPSS (Ontario Provincial Standards), AASHTO (The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials) and ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) on various materials such as asphalt, asphalt cement, soil, aggregates, concrete, asphalt emulsions, etc.
• Assisting in preparation and monitoring of highly advanced asphalt, concrete, aggregates and soil testing programs.
• Documentation of laboratory activities and subsequent test results.
• Field sampling of asphalt and aggregates.
• Possibility of travel to various work sites across Ontario to assist with field sampling (Ministry of Transportation Ontario Superpave Correlation Sampling, etc.).
• General activities related to the daily functioning of the laboratory facility (calibration of equipment, housekeeping, communication with staff from other AtkinsRéalis offices, sample storage, etc.).
• Enthusiastic participation in health and safety programs.
