Overview

We are seeking a motivated Electrical & Instrumentation/ Engineering Graduate to join our team in the water and wastewater sector. This role offers hands-on working in designing electrical and instrumentation systems that support critical water treatment and distribution infrastructure.

Your role

Preparation of Electrical and Instrumentation engineering design for water and wastewater systems comprising the:

  • Performing electrical calculations such as Load Schedule, Cable Sizing, illumination calculation for lighting etc.
  • Sizing of Electrical equipment such as Transformer, Diesel generator set, LV/MV Switchboard, Motor control centre, cable trays and ducts, Earthing calculation etc.
  • Preparing Single Line Diagram, Block cable diagram, Electrical Equipment Layout, Lighting Layout, Cable tray and conduit(duct) layouts, earthing schematic and Layout etc.
  • Preparation of Electrical Instrumentation and automation Installation specification, electrical equipment specification, electrical and Instrument data sheets etc.
  • Understanding the local and international design standards and codes such as IEC, BS, NEC, WIMES, etc.
  • Working on PLC, SCADA, communication network.
  • Preparing instrument schedule, input and output list, control philosophy, system architecture diagram.
  • Technical report writing.
  • Contributing to new innovative ideas/ making suggestions for innovation.
  • Able to coordinate with wider team in multidisciplinary projects.
  • Exhibit positive energy and enthusiasm and is self-motivated.

About you

  • Graduate/ master's'in electrical engineering/ Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Possess good communication as well as soft skills and be able to function independently with minimal supervision or as a member of a multidiscipline team.
  • Some knowledge of industry, best practices or regulatory standards, regulations and codes pertinent to Water Industry will be preferable.
