Building future capability
As part of our Global Technology Centre (GTC) in India, you’ll work on impactful projects that help shape smarter, more sustainable communities around the world. You’ll gain exposure to multidisciplinary teams and develop the skills to thrive in a global business environment.
From day one, you’ll work with experts across the globe, building technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and cross-cultural communication skills that will set you up for long-term success.
Graduate program selection
Each year, we connect with Tier 1 and Tier 2 engineering institutions across India to identify the next generation of talent who are ready to shape a better world. Our selection process is thoughtfully designed to assess not just technical knowledge, but also the mindset, values, and collaborative spirit that align with our culture.
It begins with an online assessment that evaluates analytical thinking and problem-solving skills - a strong foundation for any engineering role. Shortlisted candidates then take part in a group activity where we observe their ability to communicate, contribute, and lead within a team setting. The final stage is a technical interview, offering candidates the opportunity to share their academic experiences, project work, and aspirations. We’re looking for people who are curious, committed to continuous learning, and passionate about making a meaningful impact through their work.
Program framework
The IGDP is a two-year, structured development journey focused on building technical excellence, business acumen, and personal effectiveness.
It includes includes four key phases:
- Induction – Introduction to our business, people, and purpose.
- Technical training – Classroom and on-the-job learning through real-world simulations.
- Non-technical development – Workshops and experiences to build communication, leadership, and commercial awareness.
- Business rotations – Exposure to different disciplines and project teams.
The graduate project
One of the highlights of the program is the graduate project, a collaborative simulation based on real AtkinsRéalis projects. Over several weeks, you’ll work in teams to solve complex challenges, manage client expectations, and present innovative solutions.
