Alongside my college studies, I'm gaining hands‑on experience in infrastructure design and delivery – learning from experienced engineers and asking questions that deepen my understanding every day. My apprenticeship is about bringing classroom knowledge to life through real projects and contributing to meaningful work that makes a difference.  

Hello, I’m Caroline, a graduate ecologist at AtkinsRéalis, based in the Cork office within the Infrastructure Ireland team. It’s my first role since leaving university, and what it's really opened my eyes up to is that ecology is not just the ticking of legal boxes and the cataloguing of species, but rather it's about understanding and considering the landscape as a whole when it comes to development.  

Hello! my name is Fiona. I'm a Graduate Environmental Consultant, and I have been with the AtkinsRéalis Dublin team for just over a year. In school, my favourite subjects were always science‑related. I was fascinated by local plants and animals, and how they interacted and adapted to their environments. A career that protects and preserves Ireland's natural habitats was the perfect fit for me. 

Hello, my name is Ismail. I'm a Civil Engineering Degree Apprentice with the Water and Infrastructure team at AtkinsRéalis Ireland. I work on major water, wastewater, and pharmaceutical projects. In my current role, I focus on design engineering, striving to deliver accurate, practical, and sustainable solutions.  

Hi, I'm Theo, a second‑year civil engineering apprentice at AtkinsRéalis. I've always loved making things, thinking creatively, and solving problems. However, I wasn't sure which path to take until someone visited our school to discuss apprenticeships. Civil Engineering immediately stood out; it combined everything I was good at with the chance to make a real‑world impact.
