Come join us in reshaping the future with AtkinsRéalis. AtkinsRéalis is dedicated in engineering a better future for our planet and its people. We are hiring a Building Superintendent with Mechanical and Electrical experience to join a transformative transit infrastructure project in Toronto.

The Building Superintendent will be part of a high-performing project team that is dedicated to delivering this complex undertaking through collaboration and a best-for-project vision.

Your role:

To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Direct field operations within an assigned area.
  • Review and refine our lifting procedures and enforce compliance on-site.
  • Review all critical lifts on the projects and be present during lifts on-site.
  • Be directly responsible for the implementation of works both self-performed and through subcontractors
  • Work with field engineers to prepare a work plan and utilize resources to achieve the work plan and to resolve issues which arise during construction
  • Complete works within defined parameters, including schedule, budget and quality
  • Manage material receiving, inspections and delivery to site to meet construction schedule
  • Coordinate with other superintendents and project management staff to ensure quality and safety of the work
  • Coordinate and monitor the Contractors' quality, productivity and performance.
  • Negotiate and monitor changes to the work scope caused by design and filed changes and site conditions.
  • Collaborate with the Contracts Administrator to raise the required documentation for the quantification and approval of any changes
  • Continuously monitor HSSE performance

About you:

  • A minimum of 10 years related construction experience in a supervisory role
  • Proven electrical / mechanical experience in prior roles
  • Generate ideas, recommendations, and solutions for improving work processes, and proactively suggest changes that will create a positive energy in the team
  • Good communication skills and a strong work ethic
  • Able to make decisions in the field based on sound judgment and experience
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Experience on linear construction projects is an asset·
  • Always ensures compliance with HSE standard

Expected compensation for this role is between Pay Range $160,000 - $182,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
