Overview
We are seeking a Chartered Landscape Architect with relevant post-chartership experience to join our growing Landscape Architecture team in Birmingham. As part of one of the UK's leading multidisciplinary design consultancies, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of landscape planning, assessment and design projects that help shape sustainable places and communities.
Our team deliver landscape and visual impact assessments, environmental assessment work, and strategic landscape advice on nationally significant infrastructure and water industry projects. Alongside this, we are involved in an exciting range of Education, Public Realm, Regeneration and Transportation projects, offering opportunities for candidates with both technical assessment expertise and a passion for creative landscape design.

Working closely with colleagues across architecture, planning, ecology, urban design and engineering, you will play an important role in project delivery from feasibility and concept development through to detailed design and construction.

Your role
- Deliver landscape design projects from feasibility through to detailed design and construction.
- Prepare technical reports, tender submissions, and site inspection documentation.
- Undertake and contribute to Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) and Landscape and Visual Appraisals (LVA).
- Provide landscape advice to internal teams and external clients.
- Manage project workload and support project financial performance.
- Support contract documentation, site supervision, and quality assurance processes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across infrastructure, education, public realm, and regeneration projects.
- Mentor junior team members and assist with resource planning and business development activities.

About you
- Degree qualified in Landscape Architecture and Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI).
- Relevant experience post-chartership in a Landscape Architecture role.
- Experience delivering multidisciplinary projects, ideally within transport, education, flood infrastructure, and urban regeneration sectors.
- Strong landscape design skills with experience undertaking LVIAs using GLVIA3 and DMRB methodologies.
- Understanding of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), contract documentation, site supervision, and BIM processes.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite; exposure to Revit and hand-drawing skills are advantageous.
- Excellent communication, presentation, research, and report-writing skills with the ability to produce high-quality outputs.
- Proactive, commercially aware, and self-motivated team player, capable of managing deadlines, budgets, and working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
