We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to join the finance team to support a growing business. This position will focus on maintaining precise financial accounting, providing timely reporting, and delivering comprehensive analysis of the company's global overhead cost, with specific emphasis on the C-Suite budget. Additionally, the successful applicant will be relied upon to maintain auditable financial accounting processes and procedures.
The Financial Accountant will be working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly according to business needs. With the support of your team, you'll be expected to turnaround deadlines effectively.
What will you do?
- Manage end‑to‑end accounting for all global overhead cost centers (e.g., CEO, Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Finance, etc.); Ensure accurate month‑end entries, including accruals, prepayments, reclasses, and intercompany charges.
- Maintain global overhead accounts and ensure compliance with IFRS and internal controls; Support internal and external audit requirements related to overheads.
- Prepare monthly overhead reporting packages for FP&A, CFO and senior leadership; Analyze trends, drivers, and deviations in global overhead spending.
- Monitor and support in financial administration and compliance requirements, to include tracking the global overhead cost variances against budget and forecast.
- Partner with FP&A to understand cost drivers and optimize overhead structures
- Support the development and maintenance of overhead allocation keys and methodologies; Coordinate with the regional finance manager and financial accountant.
- Strengthen controls, documentation, and governance related to overhead accounting.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports
- Compile ad hoc analysis and other summaries to assist the management team in the efficient day to day running of the business.
Experience, Education and other Required:
- Qualified finance professional
- Experience in a multi-location and highly distributed business model, "think Global, act Local"
- Advanced Excel skills is
- Advanced user of MS Office
- Experience working with SAP (preferably), Oracle or other ERP platforms.
- Create and be part of a dynamic collaborative team and be a team player
- Ability to manage pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to breakdown finance information to non-finance professionals
- Highly focused on process improvement and controls
- Strong commercial understanding
- The ability to think outside the box and move things forward using your own initiative
- Ability to drive through change
- Highly detailed oriented, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
