Overview
AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Information Manager to join the Asset and Information Management team within their Infrastructure division. This role offers flexible location options across any of their UK offices. The position is part of a strategic push to lead the construction sector in digitization, digital engineering, and innovative data management for large-scale infrastructure programmes.

Your role
We are seeking innovative, collaborative experts with a deep understanding of digital technology and information management to lead key programmes in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sectors. You will work with clients to champion user-focused discovery and BIM/IM systems, driving real value across the asset delivery lifecycle. We welcome diverse backgrounds—from civil engineering to computer science—and are looking for passionate individuals ready to transform industry workflows through the strategic application of technology.
You will be motivated, excited and a team player with many of the following attributes:
Technical
- An ability to rapidly align to client need, delivery capability and design requirement to develop an Information Management and Digital Strategy for our Clients and delivery teams that is tangible, deliverable, and will deliver value to our client and project team.
- A good understanding of the principles of Information Management functions as outlined in international standards (EN ISO 19650), familiar with the Government's BIM Strategy and can bring knowledge and experience of implementing and developing BIM within a project environment.
- Programme level management of multiple work package teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality data to our clients.
- Advisory and delivery capabilities in developing and enabling a technology stack (CDE and wider) strategy, then ensuring it is implemented and used across our client and supplier teams.
- Ability to design the necessary workflows and processes to ensure adoption of technology across delivery supply chains. This might include traditional 'BIM' technologies, utilization of GIS data environments, or adoption of collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Teams, Miro/Slack/Trello).
- Ability to guide, advise and enable project set up support – for example, BEP development and implementation including establishing project related processes, protocols and CDE arrangements.
- Ability to work across the broader business to ensure successful discipline integration around Information Management and technology development.This will include reach-back to our other technical experts in BIM, GIS, digital engineering, automation, machine learning and design.
- The Drive and ambition to stay informed of digital tools developments within the wider business and identify opportunities for transfer of tools, knowledge, and skills.

- We are looking for candidates with a range of experience in a leadership role in the construction industry, championing BIM, information management, digital engineering and design. Salary will be scaled based on experience.
- In-depth knowledge and implementation of the UK BIM Framework.
- In-depth experience of utilising Common Data Environments to support project delivery.
- Good knowledge of Information Management processes and standards.
- Good knowledge of Asset Management standards.
- Leadership experience, ideally in a project or programme management role.
- Good knowledge of digital tools (e.g., software) within the architectural/ construction industry.
- Ideally an understanding of the whole-life construction lifecycle from design to construction and manufacture, including an understanding of its relevance considering the changing industry environment.
- An understanding of the latest developments in the AEC technology ecosystem.
