Overview
Atkinsrealis is seeking a material inspector who has experience in Inspects, samples, and tests roadwork materials to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. Controls material traceability, storage, acceptance, and documentation.
Your role
- Inspect incoming materials (aggregates, asphalt, concrete, steel, geotextiles) vs. approvals.
- Witness field/lab tests (sieve analysis, Atterberg limits, compaction/density, slump, cubes, Marshall).
- Verify batch tickets, delivery notes, mill certificates, calibration certificates.
- Monitor storage, segregation, and protection of materials onsite.
- Check asphalt mix temperature, gradation, binder content during paving.
- Ensure conformance to ITPs, MS, and PQP; raise NCRs and follow corrective actions.
- Maintain lot-wise material acceptance records and traceability.
- Coordinate with third-party labs and QA/QC on test schedules and results.
