Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer to oversee the project schedule and progress control for a Roads and Infrastructure Project. The ideal candidate will play a central role in programme analysis, progress verification, delay assessments, and alignment of the contractor's performance with the approved baseline. This position requires a candidate with at least 10 years of post-graduate experience, including 7 years in planning and controls on large infrastructure projects.

Your role

  • Review and analyze the contractor's baseline programme, updates, and revisions, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Monitor project progress against the approved schedule, identify delays and trends, and report deviations with recommended mitigation actions.
  • Conduct independent delay analysis, Time Impact Analysis (TIA), and Extension of Time (EOT) assessments.
  • Prepare and maintain supervision team's'internal monitoring tools including look-ahead schedules, dashboards, and critical path trackers.
  • Participate in coordination meetings and present schedule updates, performance metrics, and recovery plans.
  • Coordinate with discipline engineers to obtain timely input on progress, constraints, and resource allocation.
  • Support Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and project gateway reviews in line with Ashghal's PMDS framework.
  • Validate physical progress on site and correlate with programme updates submitted by the contractor.
  • Develop and maintain reporting formats consistent with Ashghal's key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist the Resident Engineer and Client in contractual correspondence related to programme obligations.
