Overview

We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer with a minimum of 10 years in the industry and at least 3 years of experience in Dubai. The ideal candidate will possess strong planning and scheduling skills, a deep understanding of construction project management, and a proven track record of successful project delivery.

Your role

  • Develop, implement, and maintain project schedules and plans to ensure timely project completion.
  • Prepare and analyze detailed project schedules using planning tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying potential delays or issues and proposing solutions.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and provide status reports to senior management and clients.
  • Analyze and report on critical path activities, schedule deviations, and resource utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and best practices in project planning.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings and workshops with project teams to align schedules and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Prepare and manage project documentation related to planning and scheduling.

About you

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in project planning and scheduling.
  • Mandatory at least 3 years of experience working in Dubai or the UAE.
  • Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, construction methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Skills

  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CPP (Certified Planning Professional).
  • Experience with cost control and budget management.
  • Familiarity with local regulations and standards in Dubai.
