Project Engineering Coordinator

Overview

The scope of work includes supporting the readiness and execution activities for the integration of removal, inspection, and installation series. This effort is part of the C6 Retube Program for the Qinshan Project, which will enable continued safe operation of Qinshan Units 1 and 2 CANDU reactors.

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Project Engineering Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the readiness program by assisting with project planning, schedule coordination, manpower organization, customer interactions, engineering interfaces, and procurement activities. Daily responsibilities include risk analysis, project forecasting, and regular communication with EPC partners and subcontractors.

The Project Engineering Coordinator provides functional leadership in planning, organizing, coordinating, and controlling the engineering and construction activities required to complete work within the defined project scope.

Your role

  • Prepare detailed plans to support the execution of assigned work activities, including scheduling, materials coordination, logistics planning and creation of required documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners, such as engineering, construction, quality, safety, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure planning information in accurate and aligned.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators, including schedule progress, quality considerations, safety items, risks and emerging issues.
  • Support the production training team in creating training materials, procedures, mock-up and training strategies that ensure workforce readiness.
  • Support in delivering workforce training in collaboration with the training team.
  • Oversee the Integration Test Readiness process for assigned work scope, including confirming readiness criteria and securing acceptance from all relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with client, engineers, consultants and subcontractors.

About you

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, a technical college diploma, or an equivalent technical training and related experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience supporting project execution is considered as an asset.
  • Experience with coordinating construction-related deliverables and supporting field activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver project reports in writing and verbally to a range of stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to coordinate activities within a construction or technical project environment.
  • Knowledge of conventional construction trade tools and general mechanical aptitude.
  • High proficiency in standard computer programs and software tools; experience with data and reporting applications such as Power BI is considered an asset.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to work at multiple project locations as required.
