Project Manager - Noise and Vibration

Overview

The Climate resiliency, Sustainability, Air and Acoustics (CRSAA) team is looking for a Project Manager - Noise and Vibration to work on a wide array of infrastructure, building and industrial projects. We offer comprehensive environmental services that improve the quality of our natural and built environment. Acoustics and vibrations, air quality, climate change, sustainability and environmental assessment are just a few of the areas our environmental engineers and scientists cover for our clients across a wide range of sectors, including infrastructure and transportation, architecture, industrial, energy, mining, oil, and gas sectors.

We use cutting-edge approaches to obtain data and create sustainable solutions that serve the interests of our stakeholders and their communities. Thanks to our ability to offer a wide range of services, we help our clients complete projects that meet the challenges of sustainable development while setting new standards of excellence.

This role can be based on site in Toronto, ON, Calgary, AB or Vancouver, BC.

Your role

Under the supervision of the Acoustics and Vibrations Team Leader, The Project Manager - Noise and Vibration will undertake the following tasks:

  • Plan and undertake field noise and vibration measurements and data analysis;
  • Conduct impact, compliance, and noise reduction studies for industrial, road, rail, renewable energy, buildings, institutional projects, etc.
  • Perform indoor and outdoor sound propagation calculations using specialized software, including calculation verification and peer review
  • Evaluate mitigation measures and verify their performance;
  • Write and contribute to study reports;
  • Prepare service proposals and participate to business development activities;
  • Manage projects.

About you

  • University degree in engineering or science. PMP or CAPM certification is an asset
  • 5+ years of experience in acoustics and vibration engineering, including environmental noise and vibration measurements, acoustic calculations, and impact/compliance studies.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge in acoustics and vibration fundamentals, including human perception, sound propagation in free and reverberant fields, and general noise and vibration control methods.
  • Demonstrated experience managing technical projects, including planning, coordination, and delivery.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to prepare technical reports and client-facing documentation. Bilingualism in French is an Asset
  • Driver's license and car.

(*) Assignment:

A regular full-time position. The workplace is located in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver; however, the position requires night and day travel to conduct field surveys. Travel is generally within Ontario and occasionally in other Canadian provinces.

Expected compensation for this role is (between Pay Range $68,800 - $100,900 annually) (Only Applicable to British Columbia and Ontario). Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role.
