Proposals Engineer

Role Overview

As the Proposals Engineer, you will support the delivery of high-quality, compliant, commercially robust, and customer-focused proposal submissions that contribute to Linxon's growth objectives.

Working closely with the Proposal team as well as cross-functional stakeholders, you will coordinate proposal activities, and contribute to the successful delivery of competitive tenders. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their career in proposal / bid management, and business development within a dynamic engineering and infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Proposals Engineer, you will be expected to:

  • Support the end-to-end proposal process from receipt of the Invitation to Tender (ITT) through to submission and project handover.

  • Review customer requirements to identify key deliverables, compliance requirements, risks, and opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain proposal plans, submission schedules, compliance matrices, and proposal documentation to ensure deadlines are achieved.

  • Coordinate inputs from operational, commercial, legal, and finance teams to support the proposal development.

  • Assist in the preparation, formatting, and quality review of proposal submissions.

  • Monitor progress and follow up on actions to ensure timely completion of deliverables.

  • Ensure documentation is maintained accurately and stored in accordance with company procedures.

  • Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the business.

Experience & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.

  • An understanding of proposal management principles and competitive tendering processes.

  • Experience working within structured processes and governance frameworks would be advantageous.

  • Professional development or qualifications related to proposal management, project management, or commercial disciplines would be beneficial.

  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • The ability to analyse and interpret complex information and present it clearly and effectively.

  • Strong editing, proofreading, and document management capabilities.

  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

  • Good commercial awareness and an interest in developing broader business knowledge.

  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a willingness to take ownership of responsibilities.

  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
