Your role
- Tracking of non-conformance reports and corrective/preventative action requests.
- Tracking of Adverse Conditions and Events recorded on the project, and ability to characterize, validate trends and report on in meetings.
- Develop quality dashboards/reports for the Pickering RFBR project to summarize project performance utilizing criteria set by senior personnel with reference to non-conformances, corrective action requests, quality trends etc.
- Facilitate root cause investigations for significant quality issues across engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
- Manage ACER program, ensuring timely resolution, verification of effectiveness, and documentation in accordance with nuclear QA standards.
- Collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to identify systemic issues and implement long-term solutions.

About you
- Graduate secondary school education in welding technology, QA/QC or a related discipline at the University or College level.
- Previous experience with implementation of corrective action program would be a plus.
- W178 Level 1 or 2 Visual Weld inspection. (preferred).
- Good knowledge to write and review documents on a technical level.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills and effectiveness in interpersonal relationships.
- Strong computing skills and functionality with standard Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).
- Ability to quickly learn and understand in-house programs.
- ASME Code, B&PV plus Nuclear/ ISO 9001 and CWB experience.
- Previous experience in receiving inspections and controls within a Nuclear Qualified Warehouse and Clean Room would be considered an asset.
- Extent of Public Contact:
- Customers, suppliers.
- Project Managers, project personnel, estimating personnel.
- Trades personnel.
- Physical Demands:
- Various work locations in both field and office.
- Travel as necessary.
Other Qualifications:
- Due to the nature of work conducted by Canatom, mandated nuclear export controls requirements must be met for employment.
- Our background check process includes a full security check and clearance process as well as reference checks.
- The security clearance process includes a comprehensive list of previous residences, employment, education, and other pertinent information. Those with a valid OPG security clearance are strongly preferred.
