Railway Incident Investigation Expert

Overview

We are hiring a Railway Incident Investigation Expert to support a major Metro Operations & Maintenance project in Riyadh. The role focuses on leading incident investigations, ensuring compliance with Rail safety and railway protection regulations, and strengthening operational safety performance.

Your Role

  • Lead investigations for rail incidents, accidents, and near-misses across metro operations.

  • Identify root causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

  • Prepare clear investigation reports in line with saudi regulatory and international standards.

  • Ensure compliance with railway protection rules, track access, and safe systems of work.

  • Act as a key point of contact btwn client and regulatory authorities.

  • Monitor closure of safety actions and support regulatory audits and inspections.

  • Provide supervisory oversight on safety and operational compliance.

  • Deliver safety lessons learned and support continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Railway, Civil, Mechanical or related).

  • 20+ years' experience in railway/metro safety or operations.

  • Proven background in incident investigation within rail/metro projects.

  • Strong knowledge of railway protection regulations and safety rules.

  • Excellent reporting, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Certified Incident/Accident Investigator.

  • NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent safety certification.

  • Experience in Middle East or GCC rail projects.
