The Senior Asset and Maintenance Manager will have a minimum of 15 years' senior technical and management experience, including railway consulting experience. They must be able to manage a team of railway managers and experts to oversee the O&M Contractors who will be performing the Metro Maintenance activities. Ensuring that all inspections and audits of the O&M Contractor are performed such that the Metro is kept at the highest standard of safety and reliability.

They are responsible for measuring O&M Contractors maintenance performance, must be capable of evaluating and correcting performance where and when required. Overseeing the O&M Contractor's sub-contractors (e.g. Transit Systems Suppliers). Reviewing the O&M Contractor's submissions; asset and maintenance plans, procedures, instructions. Overseeing the coordination of the O&M Contractors with the DB Contractors. They must be able to advise on the asset management strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management:

  • Manage a team of railway managers and experts responsible for overseeing the O&M Contractors.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members.

Safety and Reliability:

  • Ensure that all inspections and audits of the O&M Contractors are conducted regularly and comprehensively to maintain the Metro at the highest standard of safety and reliability.

Performance Management:

  • Measure the performance of O&M Contractors.
  • Evaluate O&M Contractor performance and take corrective actions when necessary.

Contractor Mobilization:

  • Oversee the mobilization of O&M Contractors, including subcontractors such as Transit Systems Suppliers.
  • Ensure that the onboarding process is seamless and aligns with project requirements.
  • Review and approve O&M Contractor submissions, including asset and maintenance plans, procedures, and instructions.

KPI Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor, audit, and report on the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) regime, ensuring that targets are met and deviations are addressed promptly.
  • Prepare regular performance reports for senior management and stakeholders.

Asset Management Strategy:

  • Provide expert advice on asset management strategy to optimize the lifecycle of rail assets.
  • Collaborate with the Asset Management team to develop long-term asset management plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Transportation Management), Master's preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of senior technical and management experience in rail operations and maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of rail systems, maintenance, and safety standards.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in contractor management and performance evaluation.
  • Knowledge of asset management principles and best practices in the rail industry.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards in the rail transportation sector.
