We are looking for a Senior Building Technician to join our operations and maintenance team at the Calgary Courts Centre.
Location – Calgary, AB
Your role
- Perform the scheduled preventive maintenance and general maintenance on the mechanical/electrical systems, HVAC systems.
- Perform general maintenance tasks and repairs as per tenant requests.
- Provide excellent customer service to tenants.
- Perform daily walk throughs of mechanical areas.
- Assist coworkers with job tasks and repairs.
- Comply with all Occupational Health and Safety legislation, guidelines, standards, policies, procedures and practices.
- Coordinate with office staff and team members to schedule repairs and related tasks.
About you
- A 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate from ABSA is required. 4th Class would be preferred, 5-10 years of experience.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems for office and warehouse facilities, including BAS systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
- Must be willing and able to work after hours and weekends as required and to be available for standby rotation to respond to after-hours service requests.
- Ability to make effective technical decisions in emergency situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated with a strong customer service focus.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must have valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
- Must be able to obtain a valid security clearance.
